Temporary suspension

Welcome to 2011.....

Any new posts to our blog will be temporarily suspended until we assign a new author to handle the workload. Since our area only has access to "dial-up"; updates are extremely time consuming and with our business increasing; the time alloted for updating the blog unfortunately has ended up on the back burner. Please be patient with us while we are in the process of making necessary adjustments.

Thank-you,
Dave & Becky

1964 Ford Wagon (update)

Many of you are probably wondering how the 1964 Ford Wagon job is coming along?

OK...... here's her brief update:
Upon inventorying the parts that came with the car...it was discovered that there were quite a lot of pieces missing. (ex. trim, light bucket assemblies, door handles, trim clips, body bolts etc.)  The trim clips were ordered....(and they were not exactly what we were expecting). Just about every one of them were wrong.....(they were the right clips....it's just that whoever makes these?.......they really should pay attention to detail!!!  They all needed to be "tweaked" in order for them to be used)  JMO (just my opinion): Too much time, these days, is spent on modifying parts that should work, and makes the job somewhat frustrating at times.

1941 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible

We recently had the pleasure of working on a 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible. The car came to us with several issues that needed attention. Known issues were as follows:
  • Remove and replace existing gas tank w/new
  • Install an electric fuel pump w/new lines and wire
  • Repair passenger door (mechanism and re-align)
  • Car would run and stall...(check carb. issues)

After all of the above issues were tended to....A few other problems started "showing their face". Once the electric fuel pump was installed and working properly...we detected a huge fuel leak in the fuel line connector. Previously someone had replace the lines w/stainless and ...

Transfer Printing

The date is Thursday, January 21, 2010. We had a group of new clients scheduled for a demo on the Transfer Imaging Process. The day before the demo, they had sent to us several odd shaped and different substrate items to dip. We worked late Wednesday evening decorating the items so they would be ready for Thursdays' meeting. Here is what they sent to us:

47 Ford Sedan Delivery

The "47 Sedan Delivery has made it back to our facility for a few more repairs. The owner noticed a good bit of fuel leaking from the vehicle. Since the problem could not be diagnosed over the phone, it was brought to us on a rollback. Once inside the shop, Dave began to hunt down the cause. It wasn't long before he found the source...the glass fuel bowl was broken. He replaced the broken fuel bowl and that's it......Back in service went the Sedan Delivery. It also needed to have the spedo repaired as well. One of the brackets inside was broken and so we repaired the bracket and re-installed the speedo.   Happy car...happy customer!!!
