Updates..October 05, 2009
The 57' Chevy wagon has come and gone!!! Another satisfied customer at Nostalgia Works!! We replaced the Speedo Cable...(don't believe it's supposed to look like this!)
Speedo works much better now with the new cable!! The vehicle also had a "mysterious" vibration at high speed??? After taking it for a test drive....it was determined that the wheels were significantly out of balance. All four rims came off and each one balanced. After the next test drive....the vibration had ceased but was not entirely gone but had improved greatly. It was determined that the universal style rims were the culprit. They probably should be replaced at some point in time. (not a safety issue...just annoying).
Car is believed to be returning in the near future for more work (after the show season ends).
