What else has been going on?

As I am sure many of you may or may not have noticed......I have "slipped" in maintaining the blog and keeping it "up-to-date".  My appologies for past behavior.....  Where we access our computer is in "dial-up" mode only........ until the area becomes "updated" with new sources.  When will this occur?....heaven only knows.  We have inquired.....but no significant responses or dates.  So, what may take most people a few minutes to complete....takes us several hours.  We're keeping our fingers crossed to see improvements to our area soon!!

In between the jobs we've taken on we have spent enjoyable moments at Car Show events in the surrounding areas.  It's always a pleasure getting out and seeing what everybody else is doing to their "rides".  We've seen some rather impressive modifications and really COOL  rides!!  It's great to see people "think outside the box" when it comes to building their dream car.  Some are waaayyyy out there and some are sublte....either way.....we think it's great!!!  At least they're out there doing it and keeping the car scene alive and well.

We have had a real positive response to our "Imaging Department".  Our thanks goes out to all who have contributed their time and efforts in helping us market the new system.
Most are in "awe" when they see the finished product and begin to realize that the posibilities are endless when it comes to using this process.  Not only is it extremely durable and long lasting.....it's also VERY AFFORDABLE when compared to the others.

We have "dipped" various items such as a complete set of 37 Packard trim and dash components, several different "new" toilet seats, several gun stocks in camo, valve covers, engine timing chain cover,  39 Mercury trim, etc. etc. You can view examples of the "dipped" items on the Picture gallery page of our web site:      www.nostalgiaworksmd.com

We also have brought our 1930's Dodgem Bumper Car out of storage...(found all of the pieces here and there), and put it back together.  We now have it up FOR SALE, if anyone is interested.  You may contact us for details at 301-416-2566, or you may send us an email at nostalgiaworksmd@aol.com.  The bumper car originally came from an amusement park in PA.  (at the moment....the name has eluded me...but I will find out and make a note of it).

We buffed the paint, attached the decorative aluminum trim pieces, fabricated a wooden floor and seat, added a solid brass pole, heavy duty wheels for ease of moving around, and painted the inside black.  LOOKS GREAT!!   It will need upholstery for the seat.

Thanks again......till next time.
