As I am sure many of you may or may not have noticed......I have "slipped" in maintaining the blog and keeping it "up-to-date". My appologies for past behavior..... Where we access our computer is in "dial-up" mode only........ until the area becomes "updated" with new sources. When will this occur?....heaven only knows. We have inquired.....but no significant responses or dates. So, what may take most people a few minutes to complete....takes us several hours. We're keeping our fingers crossed to see improvements to our area soon!!In between the jobs we've taken on we have spent enjoyable moments at Car Show events in the surrounding areas. It's always a pleasure getting out and seeing what everybody else is doing to their "rides". We've seen some rather impressive modifications and really COOL rides!! It's great to see people "think outside the box" when it comes to building their dream car. Some are waaayyyy out there and some are sublte....either way.....we think it's great!!! At least they're out there doing it and keeping the car scene alive and well. We have had a real positive response to our "Imaging Department". Our thanks goes out to all who have contributed their time and efforts in helping us market the new system. Most are in "awe" when they see the finished product and begin to realize that the posibilities are endless when it comes to using this process. Not only is it extremely durable and long lasting.....it's also VERY AFFORDABLE when compared to the others. We have "dipped" various items such as a complete set of 37 Packard trim and dash components, several different "new" toilet seats, several gun stocks in camo, valve covers, engine timing chain cover, 39 Mercury trim, etc. etc. You can view examples of the "dipped" items on the Picture gallery page of our web site: www.nostalgiaworksmd.com. We also have brought our 1930's Dodgem Bumper Car out of storage...(found all of the pieces here and there), and put it back together. We now have it up FOR SALE, if anyone is interested. You may contact us for details at 301-416-2566, or you may send us an email at nostalgiaworksmd@aol.com. The bumper car originally came from an amusement park in PA. (at the moment....the name has eluded me...but I will find out and make a note of it). We buffed the paint, attached the decorative aluminum trim pieces, fabricated a wooden floor and seat, added a solid brass pole, heavy duty wheels for ease of moving around, and painted the inside black. LOOKS GREAT!! It will need upholstery for the seat. Thanks again......till next time. ...

All information and pictures are protected under the Copywright Laws and are the property of Nostalgia Works and Nostalgia Works Imaging

1992 Lincoln Continental As you may see...even though we specialize in the repair and maintenance of Antique, Classic, and Vintage automobiles, we also on occasion maintain and repair the more "modern" vehicles as well. This is the Lincoln we brought back w/us from the road trip in Brinklow, MD. The owner of this car has had the 'air ride suspension" repaired twice at the dealership and now, after this failure, has decided to eliminate the air-ride all together and go with conventional struts and springs on all fours'.After ordering up the parts we needed to assemble each unit together...(for those not familiar with these....no....they do not come assembled). For those who are familiar with these style units....you know the most dangerous part comes when compressing the spring down far enough to assemble the units) Many "hair-raising" stories have been told about compressing these springs!! Even with the new technology and spring compression tools available today....it's still a "sketchy" task. After disconnecting all of the components attached to the original air-ride system, it was out with the old....and in with the new. The rear suspension was difficult to access. There was approx. 4" of space to maneuver in to release the old suspension and install the new. But.....with patience and time....we were successful!!Took the car for a test drive and everything performed well and as expected. The customer came to pick up the car Friday and drove it home. We received a call from the owner later that afternoon stating the car performed perfectly and the ride was like having a brand new car!! Thanks!!Thanks for tuning in.....till next time..... ...

All information and pictures are protected under the Copywright Laws and are the property of Nostalgia Works and Nostalgia Works Imaging

Re-build of a 292 Ford Y-Block....The re-build of the 292 is coming along nicely. the tear-down of the engine has been completed and the heads had a complete valve job performed. All components for the re-build have been ordered and all re-usable items have been cleaned in the parts washer and ready for re-assemble. The customer has chosen a nice set of Polished Aluminum Valve covers (Ford Thunderbird), Edelbrock Intake, and changed out the original oil pan to a rear sump style oil pan. Barring no unforseen complications....the engine will be completed this week. Thanks for tuning in.....till next time ...

All information and pictures are protected under the Copywright Laws and are the property of Nostalgia Works and Nostalgia Works Imaging
